      A public ferry runs regularly throughout the day, providing convenient transportation to and from the island. You can also book a private charter at any time for a more flexible travel option.       We recommend Pine Island Taxi for your transportation needs. They offer a variety of vehicle sizes and can provide car seats upon request. While Uber is available in the area, we recommend booking it in advance.

      Yes! The ferry crew will handle all of your belongings when boarding and unloading. Once you arrive at the North Captiva dock, we’ll be there to greet you and transport your luggage directly to your home.

      No, there isn’t a full grocery store on the island. However, there is a small market that carries basic essentials. We also partner with a highly recommended and responsive local grocer who can help if you need specific items — such as medication or other essentials — during your stay.

      There are several great beaches on Marco Island, and most are open the public. We recommend South Marco Beach, Marco Beach or Tigertail Beach.

      South Marco Beach offers the largest parking lot with 200 spots. For Marco Beach, there are a few public lots acorss the street that you can park and walk. All of our homes come with bikes, so you’re welcome to bike to the beach too!

      Marco Island offers guests a wide variety of activities and attractions for guests of all ages! Guests often enjoy visiting the wonderful restaurants, beaches, parks, as well as spending days fishing or boating, enjoying water sports, playing mini golf, going to the local movie theater or enjoying the picture perfect sunsets.

      Cape Coral offers some of Southwest FL’s best boating and outdoor entertainment - with miles of canals with direct gulf access. For days at the beach, Fort Myers Beach is the closest, about 20 minutes away. You can also conveniently access Sanibel. 
Blue Ridge FAQs

      Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) is a roughly 1.5 hour drive from Lakeside Lookout. Other options include Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, TN or Hatsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Atlanta, GA. Both are about a 2 hour drive from Lakeside Lookout.

      Blue Ridge Medical Group is a walk-in urgent care located about 9 miles away from Lakeside Lookout. Blue Ridge Medical Center is the local hospital that is a 16 minute drive from Lakeside Lookout.

      Yes, there are plenty! In Blue Ridge you will find restaurants for breakfast/brunch, lunch, dinner, and late night spots, along with shops for those with a sweet tooth and local breweries. We advise that you contact restaurants for operating hours, which vary by season.

      The City of Blue Ridge hosts many seasonal events that you can check out here. There are a few recommended local marinas for boat rental during your stay, including Blue Ridge Boat Rentals and Lake Blue Ridge Marina. Keeping in mind that a 24 foot boat fits at the dock at the home. If you’re looking for some local activities, we suggest tubing on the Toccoa River, white water rafting, trout fishing, hiking, and railway tours.

      Yes! There are 3 markets and grocery stores within a 7-11 minute drive of Lakeside Lookout.

      Lakeside Lookout is directly on Blue Ridge Lake, and is about 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge with many dining and shopping options. It is also in the heart of the Aska Adventure area. You will be close to 106 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest, 300 miles of hiking trails, the start of the Appalachian hiking trail, and 100 miles of trout streams! Blue Ridge is the perfect place for a getaway.
